The Udaipur city is famous for its beautiful lakes, palaces, gardens and rich cultural heritage. Udaipur is also known for its Rajput’s Era palaces and the Royal heritage. You can see The City Palace, which is the largest palace complex of Rajasthan. You can admire the calm Lake Pichola and see the beautiful Garden of Maidens. Tourist Attractions in Udaipur


  • Nathdwara – Shri Nathdwara (a pathway to Lord Shri Krishna) lies 48 km from Udaipur and literally means the gateway to the Lord. It is fully throng by the devotees on the occasions of "Janmashtmi", the day of the Lord's birth, and other festivals like Holi. It is famous for its Pichwai paintings, with Shri Krishna in the centre and is recognized for profuse use of gold color.

  • Ranakpur – It is like a home to one of the most important Jain temples.  It has above 1400 marble pillars, which supports the temple.

  • Chittorgarh- Chittorgarh, which is about 112 km from Udaipur, was the capital of Mewar from 734 AD to 1559. Chittorgarh Fort is a huge fort situated on a hilltop near Chittorgarh town in Rajasthan.

  • Haldighati - A mountain pass in Rajsamand District that hosted the battle between Rana Pratap Singh of Mewar and the Mughal emperor Akbar. It is now a memorial site.

  • Kumbhalgarh – It is a 15th-century fortress, built by Rana Kumbha of Mewar, with 36 kilometres of walls.  It has over 360 temples within the fort. It also has a wildlife sanctuary, located in Rajsamand District, 64 km from Udaipur

  • Mount Abu - A popular tourist hill station.

  • Eklingji - Eklingji is a temple complexes situated in the north of Udaipur. It was built in 734 A.D. and consists of 108 temples made out of sandstone and marbles; it is devoted to the royal family of Mewar.

  • Rishabhdeo: It is also known as "Kesariya ji" or "Kala Baoji", which is a famous Jain pilgrimage for Jains. Popularly known as Dhuley.

  • Jaisamand Lake:  It is the Second biggest man-made lake in the Asia. It’s a beautiful scenic picturesque and has many inhabitable islands.

How to Reach Udaipur

By Air:

The airport in Udaipur is named as Dabok airport, which is also known as Maharana Pratap Airport. Indian Airlines  flights daily connects Udaipur with Jodhpur, Jaipur, Mumbai and Delhi. There are daily flights from Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur on Jet Airways, Indian Airlines and Kingfisher Airlines.

By Train:

Udaipur City has direct trains on the broad gauge network to most of the major cities in Rajasthan and the rest of India such as Jaipur, Kota, Chittorgarh, Ajmer, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Indore, Bhopal, and Gwalior.

By Road:

Udaipur city is well connected by National Highway, so it’s quite easy to travel by road and explore the city. One can either drive from Jaipur, Kota, Surat or take Rajasthan Road Transport Corporation Bus services from Bikaner House.
